Belly dance Institute Mumbai by Ritambhara Sahni is Mumbai’s 1st and leading belly dance school since 2005 with centres all across Mumbai.

The institute teaches almost everything that there is to learn in belly dancing. The content is divided and sub divided into many levels. We teach up to 20 levels and 12 levels in tribal fusion and its styles. Some of these levels are also sub divided.

We cover almost all the belly dance styles. Belly dance styles have 2 major categories which are Eastern Belly Dance [Oriental belly dance] and Western Belly Dance. Eastern [Oriental] style majorly consists of Egyption/Raks Sharki, Turkish/ Oryantal Dansi, and Lebanese. Western Belly Dance Styles are Classic American Belly Dance, Tribal Belly Dance, Gypsy Belly Dance, Bellywood [fusion of belly dance and Bollywood], Spiritual or Goddess Belly Dance and Fusion Belly Dance [again sub divided into many categories]. Belly Dance uses many props and we teach you to belly dance with almost all of them. Props in belly dance that we teach are Veils, Swords, Poi Veils, Finger cymbals [Zills], Fan Veils, Drums, Isis Wings, Canes and Shamadan. To know more on each prop you can click on the following links.
